Kass Kass Ki Lame

Divolter is Mauritius’s original Metal Kreol band — five musicians fusing heavy metal with island folk instrumentation and lyrics sung in Kreol. Formed in 2009 and official from 2011, the band built its name on raw, high-energy live shows, a feature on the “Maudit Tangue” Indian Ocean compilation, and festival stages across the region. Frontman Rambo now lives in Melbourne, Australia, and returns to Mauritius whenever he can to get the band back on stage. On Friday 30 October 2026, Divolter returns to Café du Vieux Conseil, Port Louis — the venue of their last show in 2023 — for a one-night comeback: “Kas Kas Ki Lamé,” alongside local bands, Kreolyte and Ryoshi.
