The band that put metal into Kreol

Divoltère is Mauritius’s original Metal Kreol band — raw metal riffs and double-kick driven by séga rhythm and traditional percussion (ravann, djembe, darbouka), with Kreol lyrics about politics, social ills and injustice. Formed in 2009, official from 2011. Frontman Rambo now lives in Melbourne; the band regroups whenever he is home.
